Dr. Mandel received her BA in liberal arts from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She then worked as a research study assistant in the innovative breast cancer research division at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. She graduated with a degree in Dentistry from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in 2013. Her desire to increase her knowledge of medically compromised patients, surgery and general dentistry led her to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. There she completed her general practice residency while also assisting with local elderly residents’ care. Dr. Mandel has spent the majority of her professional career practicing in home dentistry- treating the elderly and immobile, bringing patience, warmth and compassion to each and every visit, while putting her patients and their families at ease.
Dr. Chen received her BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Healthcare Services Management from the Wharton School. She then returned to her hometown of Los Angeles to pursue her passion for oral health and health equity at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Her interest in caring for traditionally underserved populations and medically complex patients led her to pursue additional training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UCLA. Dr. Chen believes the microcosm of the mouth is reflected in the macrocosm of the body, and prides herself on providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. She looks forward to meeting you and your family to provide the care that you need. [Proficient in Mandarin]

Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Mandel- she's caring, incredibly patient, and treats all of the elderly folk at our Los Angeles nursing home like family.
I'm a nurse practitioner and heard about in home dentistry from one of my geriatric patients. They recommended Dr. Mandel who now treats several of my patients. She's always smiling, attentive, communicative...all around excellent dentist!
My mom hasn't been able to take care of her teeth for some time now until a friend referred Dr. Mandel. She does regular cleanings and has done some fillings and we'd recommend her to anyone.
I have a son with special needs who gets overwhelmed when he leaves the house. Dr. Mandel came to our house and was able to calm him to give him his first cleaning in over three years. We're so grateful for her.
Dr. Mandel has been treating both my elderly parents for the past two years. She's responsive, very experienced, and always making them laugh. A couple months back my pops had terrible pain and Dr. Mandel dropped everything to come out for an emergency extraction. Thank you thank you!
I wasn't aware of mobile dentistry but discovered it online and called Dr. Mandel when my bed bound father got a tooth infection. She came out the next day and was thorough, sweet and patient with my father who can sometimes be difficult. She took care of his issues and continues to treat him.
